We'll be using tried-and-true techniques to land some fish. Trolling is our go-to method – we'll set up a few lines behind the boat and cruise at just the right speed to entice those bass. The captain might also have us try some cast-and-retrieve action if we spot a promising area. All the gear is provided, from rods and reels to bait and lures. Just remember to bring some snacks and drinks to keep your energy up. Oh, and don't forget the sunscreen and a hat – that lake sun can be sneaky!

Striped Bass are the stars of the show on Cherokee Lake, and for good reason. These hard-fighting fish can grow up to 20-30 pounds, giving even seasoned anglers a run for their money. They're known for their powerful runs and acrobatic leaps – when a striper hits your line, you'll know it! Spring and fall are prime times to target these beauties, but they can be caught year-round with the right know-how. Stripers often school up, so when you find one, there's a good chance more are nearby.
Hybrid Bass, a cross between Striped Bass and White Bass, are another exciting catch. These fish combine the best of both parents – the fight of a striper with the more predictable habits of white bass. They typically run smaller than pure stripers, averaging 3-5 pounds, but what they lack in size they make up for in feistiness. Hybrids are known for their aggressive strikes and tend to be more active in warmer water, making them a great target during summer months when pure stripers might be laying low in deeper, cooler waters.
There's something special about Cherokee Lake that keeps folks coming back for more. Maybe it's the peaceful morning mist rising off the water as you cast your first line. Or the thrill of watching your rod tip suddenly dip as a fish takes the bait. For many, it's the simple joy of spending quality time with family and friends, away from screens and schedules. Our trips are designed to be hassle-free – we handle all the technical stuff so you can focus on making memories and maybe telling a few fish tales of your own.

Remember, we provide all the gear and know-how – you just bring the enthusiasm (and maybe a camera for those "big fish" photos). Going to start the review directly calling out the owner of the single worst fishing charter I have ever been on and I've been on some real shit shows. You DO not change a customer review ever! That is false advertising and after our experience borderline theft. I have already reported you to the better business bureau for the experience and false advertising. You should be ashamed to call yourself a functioning fishing charter. After 4 hours of catching nothing but only having lines in the water for a total of 30 minutes twice and not being allowed to touch, hold, or cast a rod we went back to dock where I asked what the policy is when you catch nothing and was told i took you fishing not catching. There was no food or water provided in 85 degree geat and we had a pregnant woman in our party. You should be ashamed and should consider keeping your day job.

Scam. Even tried to change my review. You thought I wouldn’t notice? Don’t take my words and LIE. Reporting to Better Business Bureau immediately. Touch my review again, and I may consider legal action. Expect reviews of our experience on other platforms as well as receipts and screenshots with proof for your shadiness. We are also aware that you are not licensed like you claim you are and if one of us had gotten hurt on this experience, you would have been held to full liability.

Stop changing reviews shit bag. Maybe if you knew how to do your job and treat customers well you wouldn't have to be a shady fuck. Fuck you asshole burn in hell

Striped bass are a real treat to catch on Cherokee Lake. These powerful fish typically range from 10-30 pounds but can grow much larger. You'll often find them suspended in open water or near underwater structures like points and ledges. Spring and fall are prime seasons as the stripers chase baitfish. Anglers love targeting stripers for their hard-fighting nature - when one hits, hold on tight! They also make excellent table fare with firm, white meat. To improve your chances, try trolling with live shad or casting big topwater lures at dawn. One local trick is to look for diving birds, which often signal feeding stripers below. While they can be finicky at times, hooking into a big striper is an unforgettable thrill. There's nothing quite like feeling that initial surge when a trophy bass slams your bait. Whether you're after a new personal best or just want to tangle with a true freshwater bruiser, striped bass offer an exciting challenge for anglers of all skill levels.

Did not catch a single thing. Not even so much as a bite. Spent all of our time sitting and waiting while he drove around. He only put lines out twice during the entire 4 hours. When my husband (who we were celebrating a birthday for) asked the guide about a refund of some sort his response was “I took you fishing, not catching”. Never got to even hold or touch a fishing rod but yeah sure, call it fishing if you want to. Definitely not happy with the experience or the attitude of the guide we got. Will definitely encourage people NOT to book with them
